Miklat ("the App") is a community-driven application that helps locate public shelters in Israel. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with row-level security policies that restrict data access. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the platform's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

Account information is retained as long as your account exists. Shelter contributions are retained indefinitely to maintain the community database. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon request, we will delete your account information and anonymize your contributions within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Miklat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
